I believe it is greyed because it seems the device is connecting and disconnecting from the system intermittently. Have a solution for a quick fix even if your rollback driver is greyed out.

Confirming update with BizLink Technology. Noticed the same issue where the device is coming in as HID in device manager, then switching to USB-c display port.

All Prodesk 400 G1 Microtowers running windows 8.1 using the MOFYUO Model HP Optical Mouse that shipped with these. I have a location that reported this on 7 HP workstations in the store. But the rollback option is now avaiable so you need to do the steps I mentioned you in this post.Īny one had this issue? You need to check the option "Remove software related to this driver". You achieve that going through Device Manager. If you are not able to rollback the driver, first you need to fully Uninstall "HP USB-C to DisplayPort Adapter". We are under investigation but this looks to be an issue with a particular Windows update. We need to repeat these steps for each computer and each USB port of that computer. I just get the "Device driver software was not successfully installed" message. It even works in the UEFI BIOS, which suggests it's a pretty standard HID device. It works fine in Windows 10, was recognised instantly, no driver required. I'm booting multiple OS's on this computer. It uses it's own USB 2.4 Ghz mini receiver. I recently replaced a knackered old MS wireless mouse with an Asus WT-425 2.4 Ghz wireless mouse.
